Formula: Wh = Ah × V Ah = Wh ÷ V
Scope: Nominal planning estimate using Wh = Ah × V or its inverse. It does not estimate usable energy, runtime, charging, battery chemistry, discharge limits, temperature, or system losses.

Assumptions
The calculation uses the stated nominal voltage and Wh = Ah × V. Actual usable energy depends on battery chemistry, discharge limits, temperature, age, and losses.
How the conversion works
Multiply the amp-hour rating by nominal voltage. A 100Ah battery is 1,200Wh at 12V, 2,400Wh at 24V, and 4,800Wh at 48V.

Questions people ask
How many watt-hours are in a 12V 100Ah battery?
Its nominal energy is 1,200Wh. Usable energy is lower after depth-of-discharge and battery-loss assumptions.
Can I compare batteries by Ah alone?
Only when their voltages match. Convert each battery to Wh or kWh before comparing stored energy.
